On the road from Moher to Lahinch,
we
stopped in the town of Liscannor.
While there, we visited Francis "Francie"
O'Connor for a few minutes. Francie
is our grandmother, Mary Kate's
younger brother.
|

These two houses belong to Francie's
stepbrother and son.
|
Further along the road from Liscannor to Lahinch,
in the town of _____,
we stopped at these ruins at
Kilmacrehy Cemetery. Donal
pointed out that a distant
relative ___ might be buried
in one of the chambers.
|
Located in these ruins is the
gravesite of Tom O'Connor
(Francie's father).
One of the capstones marks
the resting place.
|
Atop a hill in the town of Ennistymon
is this schoolhouse where
Bridget
attended elementary school
at the Mercy Convent School.
|
Below the schoolhouse is
St. Michael's Church, Ennistymon. Possibly renovated,
this is where
Bridget was
confirmed and
Francis was
baptized.
|
Away from the center of the town of Ennistymon is the "House on the
Lake."
This is where Donal, Bridget and Francis grew up. It is located
on the road _______
|
 Further
down the road from the
"House on the Lake" and the
Kennedy
property
(Mr. Jimmy Kennedy is Frank's
godfather) is the
Moughna Cemetery.
Many of our forefathers on my generation's
great-grandmother, Ellen Considine's side, are
buried here.
|

And this memorial stone lists many distant relatives. They are
___ .
Joe Mackey was married to "Cousin DoDo" who still lives in
Lahinch.
Michael Garrahy is a third cousin.
While Bridget was researching
our ancestry, she found
many
references to the Garrahy name.
